Second Dragon

This is the second design of the dragon tattoo I'm doing for a friend. This time, I drew this one with paper and pencil (the old fashion way). I think it came out pretty good but I was starting to get tired by the end so there some mistakes here and there. Oh, there's also no erasing cause I hate to do so. Well, comment, criticize, or whatever. Peace.

Nice job, OmegaEye!

There's nothing better than pen & pencil. Nothing can possibly take it's place, even shiny techno-gizmos like Cintiq tablets. Like they say at Christmastime, the cheapest toys are always the most fun to play with.

I always like your dragon stuff. You gotta do some character designs & illustrations for books & stuff someday.

I hate erasing my drawings, too. I like that rough, raw & sketchy look of a drawing. When I erase the spare rough lines, it loses it's edge. It's like a traced drawing, it lacks life.

I got to agree with you on the part that drawings lose their life when you start to erase but that's not the only reason I don't erase, the other is the fact that I get lazy and prefer the sketchy look over a clean look. A clean look is best for animation then for sketches or drawings. The sketchy look keeps it original also. No one can really copy every line that you did when it's done that way. Well, thanks michael j. ruocco.
